Interview with Fashion Blogger

Cristina was born in 1993 in Madrid, Spain. His family fostered his curiosity since she was young to explore plastic arts, fashion and communication. That led Cristina to study Fashion Design at University of Madrid’s. Translating its hobby into a full time job. Currently Cristina lives between Miami and Dubai. Helping brands to develop content and strategies across multiple platforms using her image. As self-made model and actress Cristina is very interested in developing new forms of self-expression and inspiring next generations of women to thrive in anything they do.

I believe that the key to success is to be constant and never break down or surrender, it is always difficult at first to make yourself known and thus get large brands to come to you to be the image and represent them.

I started with my instagram account publishing my trips, fashion outfits, and lifestyle. Step by step my organic content was reaching more and more users, more fashion brands and even model agencies, collaborating with them and thus making it easier for me to gain content and visibility in my social network. Beginnings are always difficult but not impossible!

Hello Cristina Banani, could you start by telling us a little about yourself?

Since I was little I liked fashion and I always dreamed of being a model but I never imagined that I would become one, so I decided to study fashion design, even though I never got to dedicate myself to it, since the funny thing is that at the age of 21 they stopped me for the street to ask me if I wanted to join a modeling agency in Madrid, Spain. There I started working as a model in elite models.

I had a time when I felt somewhat stagnant since few jobs came out and that is why I decided to turn my life around and come to live in Dubai. It was the best change I have been able to make in my life, I have always been a very active person and my day to day here is full of sports activities in the open air, I love doing yoga seeing all the palm trees of Palm Jumeirah, going to the desert, do a day by boat, etc…

And the best thing is that here the photo sessions are not only in a photography studio, they can also be on the beach, in the desert or in a Beach Club or in a beautiful spa.

This year in particular I have traveled extensively for work, I spent a month in Bali working for various bikini brands, I also had to spend a month in Miami, which by the way I have to say that I loved my experience, since it reminded me a lot of Dubai , I was there as a model and also doing an Influencers Tour, it was very fun, since in Miami there are the best art galleries and very good restaurants. This year the truth is the year that I have traveled the most since in total I will have gone to about 8 countries in the remainder of the year. It is what I like the most about this job, being able to travel and see new places, I always try to go sightseeing, visit art galleries, go shopping and go out to the most fashionable restaurants and clubs.

How would you describe your own personal style?

I guess I've always opted for a classic and elegant style, but giving it a touch, sexy and daring.

In my day to day I opt for comfortable clothes, I really like sportswear in very basic colors such as white, black or nude, however I like the classic and feminine lady style for any occasion and more here in Dubai.

Fashion for me also has a lot to do with your mood or depending on the occasion at each moment.

What do you like most about blogs? .

What I like most about blogs is seeing new styles and learning from the different visions of the creators.

What is the greatest satisfaction of being a fashionista? blogger? .

Living a lifestyle I like while inspiring other women is something that makes me feel fulfilled in life

What would you describe as the biggest challenge in fashion blogging? .

Being able to disrupt rules and social consensus in an elegant manner to create opinion or trends around topics. There is no way to like everyone so I follow my femenine instinct all the time to express myself. And I handle quite well critics.

A fashion rule you never break?

Do not show too much skin in the same look. It is not a bad idea to show parts of your body when the occasion calls for it, but it is always good to maintain a balance. If you want to show off your legs in a mini, keep your arms covered. Do you want to show off a nice neckline? then do it with a midi skirt or pants. In other words, I don't show everything in one look. There is a fine line between being elegant and ordinary.

What do you think will be the biggest hits in fashion? for the next season?

There are certain aesthetics, colors and patterns that promise to be everywhere: broadly speaking, a year awaits us with some trends in the antipodes. We will see the triumph of the most discreet, but also the most striking. Perhaps silent luxury is the most important upcoming trend. With a broader access to luxury goods to crowds elegant and sophisticated women are turning into discreet / silent to differentiate what is elegant from common

Where do you find inspiration for your blog? publications? .

Everyday when I wake up I try to follow a routine from making my bed to getting my coffee . Reading the press and getting organized. My constant travels and discipline allows me to focus to create what my public demands or expects from me. All those who love me and support my work inspire me the most on daily basis.

What is the biggest fashion challenge? blogging? .

What you wear determines how you present yourself to the world, especially today when human contact is so brief. Fashion is an instant language. I just want to convey my style and my mood through fashion.

Your favorite saying? .

If you want something said ask a man, if you want something done ask a woman- Margaret Thatcher.

A few words about our magazine?

Inspiring and fresh. Honored to be part of your publication. I enjoy a lot going through your instagram and reading inspiring stories of others !
