My name is Giulia Petronio, I’m 23 years old and I come from Rome..
I started modeling when I was 17 years old. I also have a degree in Economics and Management and I’m actually studying marketing. I’ve decided to combine those two poles present within my life through creating “JANHE” my own sustainable fashion brand in order to express myself on a creative level. Acting and singing are two other passions of mine: I like all-around art and I always love to challenge myself.
How did you get your start in modelling?
I started modeling in Rome when I was 17 years old. An agent found me while I was walking on the street and asked me to work together. Everything started to become more serious when an agent from Women Management Milano asked me to sign a contract with them. I suddenly decided to move to Milan and started working seriously. It’s been an amazing path allowing me to know myself more and more and have fun too.
Tell us about your latest project?
The latest project I worked for is still unreleased so it’s something I can't talk about, but I can tell it’s a short film/music video for an important Italian artist and it’s been a very interesting experience to me.
Who do you admire in the modeling industry?
Cara Delevingne. I love her personality and the way she always looks confident but ironic at the same time, not taking herself too seriously. I also admire Mariacarla Boscono and Vittoria Ceretti cause they’re two amazing Italian models and they represent Italy in such a wonderful way.
What inspires you most in your work?
I think that communicating through an image is something very creative.
When I look at advs or editorials I always think about the creative message they want to communicate. Playing with a glance or the body is something verypowerful and freeing at the same time.
What motivates you in your achievements?
I love the adrenaline on set, it awakens all your senses and you just can’t have enough of it. Everyone follow their own vision, that’s something that inspires me and makes me clearly see how hard work rewards you,
To be on trend with fashion today you must have?
I love cut-out shaped dresses. That’s the reason why I created
my own fashion brand called janhe” which givesme the possibility to express me in another creative way..
